About the Park

This little walled park, with its sense of height above the city, was designed essentially to provide a place for local residents to walk and children to play safely, as well as a sporting facility.

Situated on the edge of town on with the top of Arthurs Seat visible, Liberton Park is well used by families, joggers and dog walkers.  The small play area is popular with young children and their parents.  A metal pavilion provides changing facilities for organised football.

The Alnwickhill Road entrance overlooks green fields and open country to the Braid and Pentland Hills.

The football pitches are leased by Liberton United Football Club.

Facilities include:  Play area, picnic tables, benches, football pitches and pavilion.
